CYRIONYX ("we", "us", "our") operates the ClinicalCaseLog application and the ClinicalCaseLog → ACGME Export browser extension. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Data We Collect

ClinicalCaseLog collects and stores the following information:

• Account Information: Name and email address for account creation and authentication.
• Clinical Case Data: Procedures, diagnoses, case dates, and related clinical documentation that you voluntarily enter.
• Authentication Tokens: The browser extension stores an API token locally on your device (via browser storage) to connect to your ClinicalCaseLog account.

Important: We explicitly prohibit and do not collect any patient identifiable information (PII) such as patient names, medical record numbers, or other identifying data.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption and access controls. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Usage

We use your data solely to provide the ClinicalCaseLog service to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or clinical case information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

Browser Extension

The ClinicalCaseLog → ACGME Export browser extension:

• Stores your API token and default site/institution preference locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.
• Accesses clinicalcaselog.com to fetch your case data via API.
• Accesses apps.acgme.org to assist with auto-filling case entry forms.
• Does not collect browsing history, personal information, or any data beyond what is needed to export cases.
• Does not transmit data to any third party.
• All data stays between your device, your ClinicalCaseLog account, and the ACGME Case Log System.

Cookies & Tracking

ClinicalCaseLog uses minimal tracking technology. We only store a session authentication token in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request export of your data in a portable format.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Update or correct your account information.
• Contact us with privacy-related questions or concerns.

Data Retention

We retain your account and case data for as long as you maintain an active account. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated revision date.
